ミッチ先生 in Las Vegas 2
みなさん、こんにちは！
今日は先週に引き続き、ミッチ先生のラスベガス帰省日記をお楽しみください～い。

The day before New Year’s Eve, December 30th, was an amazing day. First, I got to finally try a Five Guys Burgers and Fries cheeseburger for the first time (it was delicious!), aaaaand I got to hang out with my 23-year-old student Suguru! He just-so-happened to be in Las Vegas at the same time I was (he came with his family). He went to see Maroon 5 in concert, and after the concert, I met him at my favorite bar in Las Vegas: The Mandarin Cocktail Bar at the Mandarin Oriental.
The next night was the big… BIG NIGHT! It was New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas!!! If you don’t know what New Year’s Eve looks like in Las Vegas… Let me give you an idea:
Yeah. All the hotels on The Strip (the main road in Vegas) shoot off fireworks for the New Year. It’s so nuts, you can’t even photograph it in one photograph.
So, I’m in the city DESIGNED for having big parties. It’s the biggest night of the year: New Year’s Eve. And I’ve spent the last 3 years having quiet countdowns in Kagoshima… So, what did I do for the countdown? You won’t believe it.
First, we started off at the beautiful Cosmopolitan Hotel’s Chandelier Lounge. After we had a few drinks, we moved on to the rooftop ice skating rink.
Then, after we had some more drinks outside under the Las Vegas strip, we moved inside to see… the one… the only… BRUNO MARS!
If you’ve never seen Bruno Mars, I highly recommend you go. He’s absolutely amazing live, and everyone in the audience gets into the music. People dance, they sing, and some cried. And the venue… the venue was so small! The tickets were VERY expensive because the show was in a very small and intimate space. There were only a few thousand people in the crowd. I could almost reach out and touch him, that’s how close we were.
Then, the countdown. We rushed outside and this is what we saw:

大晦日の前日、１２月３０日は最高でした。まずは、Five Guys Burgers & Friesのチーズバーガーをついに食べました（美味しかった！）
そして、私の２３歳の生徒すぐる君と遊びました。彼はたまたま同じ時に家族とラスベガスに来ていました。彼はマルーン５のコンサートを見に行っていました。その後 Mandarin OrientalホテルのThe Mandarin Cocktail Barという私のお気に入りのバーで彼と会いました。
次の日の夜はビッグイベント！大晦日in Las Vegas!!!
ラスベガスの大晦日がどんな感じが分からない人には・・・
イメージをあげるからね。
見て！ストリップ通り（ラスベガスのメインの通り）の全てのホテルは元旦に花火をあげるんです。本当すごいよ、一つの写真に収まらないから。
ということで、大きなパーティーをする為にに作られた街にいた私。大晦日、そう一年で一番賑やかな夜。私はここ３年、鹿児島で静かなカウントダウンをしました。だから今年のカウントダウン私が何をしたか・・・？たぶん信じられないと思うよ。
まず、綺麗なCosmopolitan HotelのChandelier ラウンジからスタートし、数杯飲んだ後、屋上アイススケートに行きました。
そして、またドリンクを楽しんだら今度は・・・
BRUNO MARSを見に行きました！！！
一度もブルーノ マーズを見た事無い人・・・絶対オススメします。彼のライブは最高で観客みんな音楽に魅了されます。みんな踊って、歌って、泣いてる人もいて。会場なんだけど・・・今回の会場はとっても狭かった。
そしてチケットはとーっても高かったんです。なぜならとっても小さな会場で行なわれたからね。
たった数千人しかいなかくて、もうBruno Marsに届きそうでした。
そして、カウントダウン。急いで外に出て、これを見ました。
素晴らしかったです。
